"Welcome to New York

It's been waiting for you

Welcome to New York

Welcome to New York

Like any great love

It keeps you guessing

Like any real love

It's ever changing

Like any true love

it drives you crazy'

But you know you wouldn't change anything, anything, anything

Welcome to New York

It's been waiting for you

Welcome to New York

Welcome to New York

It's a new soundtrack

I could dance to this beat, beat

Forevermore

The lights are so bright

But they never blind me

Welcome to New York

Welcome to New York

It's been a LONG time since my last post. Now I am back on the road after spending the winter and early spring in North Carolina and of course - celebrating Riley and Eric!

May 27, 2023, Riley and Eric got married in Central Park in New York City, followed by a reception in Brooklyn at Little Rascal Bar www.littlerascalrestaurant.com. The entire weekend was filled with laughter, love, music, dancing, and amazing food and drinks. The florals were stunning, Little Rascal was fantastic, and I was able to spend time with Felix and Pickles at Eric and Riley's place - bonus! I have such great memories from the 10 days I spent in Brooklyn and NYC. What a gift it was to spend so much time with Riley the week before the wedding. I will always cherish those memories. Spending time with family, friends, Eric and Riley's friends, and Eric's family was very special. Jackson and I found time to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, chat along the way and do some shopping. Anne, Chad and my niece Alex and I saw "Book of Mormon" and walked around Times Square a bit afterwards. I saw "And, Juliet" with my friend Tasha, and afterwards we went to"Beauty & Essex" - a cool speakeasy on the lower east side with fantastic craft cocktails and food. It sounds corny to say, but it was a truly magical weekend I will enjoy thinking about for years to come.

After the wedding, I went back to Charlotte, NC, packed up the bus and headed out on my next 6 month road trip. Next stop = Wisconsin!
